Today we send my little brother off to Toronto, off to pursue a dream and adventure in a city that has so much to offer. Neither of us has ever lived anywhere besides Edmonton and we have always lived in our childhood home. We have spent twenty three years together and it is so strange that this day has come for you to go your own way. I am so proud that you are taking this risk. Life is not meant to be lived in one place. While we may not have always shared an opinion, we have shared the passing of our days under the same roof, the kind of closeness that will only ever be felt between siblings and significant others. I will miss watching chick flicks together (and you tearing up), sleeping over at each other's "houses" (aka rooms), and singing (me always off-key) in the car. Thanks for being a wonderful partner-in-crime. What an exciting time in your life. Know that I am always here for you if you need me. See you soon in Toronto, Bergamo, Edmonton, or wherever in the world we may be. Love, your big sister.
