One of the greatest advantages about living in Italy is being able to travel Italy whenever we want. The country is so small in comparison to Canada that almost every possible destination seems reasonable to me. In three hours, you can be in Rome from way up north where we are. You can literally go for a day if you want, how amazing is that? We've made a solemn vow to explore as much of this great ol' boot as we can, especially since so many people from all over the world spend thousands on tickets and hotels to do exactly that. We can just hop in the car or the motorbike and go! So our next destination is beloved Firenze for the weekend where I entirely plan on binge-eating our favourite bistecca alla fiorentina and drinking some wonderful Tuscan wine- notables being Chianti, Rosso di Montepulciano, and of course the famous Brunello (I almost wrote Bordello there, whoops! Google the definition if you don't know Italian and you'll understand the significance of my mix-up). I haven't been to Florence since 2012 when I went on an extensive Italy tour with my mum (pictured above) but of all the super-touristy destinations in Italy, it's quite high up on my list. See you in three days Firenze!
