I'm not going to clutter this post with verbiage, the photographs are the main point. Tonight I ventured out to the Ice Castles that have been constructed in my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. It was frigid out but I'm a Canadian at heart and was bundled and swaddled like a newborn. The lights within the ice walls are coordinated to Disney Park-esque background music and that possibly made me love it ten times more. None of these photos are filtered or edited by the way, my point and shoot camera is just the cat's meow.

It was very neat, a great way to take advantage of our cold winters!

Fantastic images! Oh to be on a plane and head north. These are eerily beautiful.

Thanks! It was very cool and very Canadian. The best part was heading for hot chocolate after though!

Hot chocolate with whipped cream, I suppose! Maybe even a shot of rum in it?
