Happy Sunday everyone! It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Bergamo- the perfect kind of day to kick off the start of March and (hopefully) springtime. I've been here since December and while I loved all the festivities and eating associated with the former, winter in Italy was harder than I expected it to be. It was actually cold, the humidity making it seep into your bones, even past the down protection of a Canada Goose parka. On days that it was not fifty shades of grey out, it was raining or drizzling. I welcomed the snow with open arms because it reminded me of Canada and to tell you the truth, it's less annoying than rain. I'm ready for the warmer and longer days and everything that comes with it. I want to actually have a legitimate gelato craving, not only for it's creamy goodness, but as a means to cool down from the pounding heat. I can't wait to have aperitivi outside on the terraces of the restaurants and bars as they start to open up. I was in Milan just yesterday and I could already see some takers sitting outside in overcoats and over-sized sunglasses. Perhaps because it's Fashion Week right now and it's a means of to see-and-be-seen, who wants to hide away in the bowels of a restaurant (only actual celebrities I'm sure!). Anyways here's hoping your March is fabulous (and that my actual permesso finally arrives!).

It's unbelievable how much time flies! I wouldn't have thought so, especially since I've been spending a good deal of time cleaning and cooking while I wait for my documents! Hehe.
