Adore the detailing of this plain black French Connection dress, it was originally a below-the-knee length however I had it tailored to fall above the knee considering how short I am. I've always loved it because it reminds me of when Dolce & Gabbana were going all-out Sicilian influenced a couple years back (Fall/Winter 2012/2013 perhaps?) in a full black ensembles and intricate baroque embroideries.

I'm loving the look fellow Canadian!! I'm from Beaconsfield Montreal, almost moved to Milan as a work transfer with hubby and daughters, but them my mom got ill and plans fell through. Maybe some day... Meantime I'm enjoying your blog. Arrivederci :) would like to keep in touch :)
